#20 - Green Chilli Caesar with Sesame Schnitzel
As you read this, I will be swanning around Copenhagen on a lovely holiday, having just returned from Porto on another lovely holiday, so I am writing this to you from a few days in the past. Hello, hope it’s nice over in next week!
Before I went away, I made a salad so gorgeous that I thought you’d probably like the recipe too. It is a caesar salad of sorts, with heat from green chilli (my favourite of the chilli colours), and a crispy sesame schnitzel to eat with it for extra crunch. It’s a really fabulous summer dinner,

Green Chilli Caesar Salad with Sesame Schnitzel
One of the first things I ever learnt to cook was something my mum called “bang bang chicken”, which basically just meant banging a chicken breast with a rolling pin, pané-ing it and frying it. Whenever I do this process in adulthood, I still get a real nostalgic comfort hit. A crispy chicken dinner is still a thing I would like to eat most nights, and it is really very gorgeous with a spicy caesar salad.
By Turkish green peppers, I mean the pale green pointy ones, which give nice bitterness and crunch to the salad. You can seek them out in world food shops.
