Hello everyone!
Something shocking has happened to me in my 30s - I have developed a sweet tooth. After years of my primary snacks consisting of buttery toast and salty crisps, I now find myself making eyes at the biscuits and cakes across the room.
I’ve developed a fixation with Horlicks of late. I whipped the malty powder into cream to top a double baked chocolate cake at my last supper club, and now I am shoehorning the leftovers in the tub into as many recipes as possible. It turns out lots of things benefit from that malted flavour, and these cookies are one of them.
This recipe is available to my paid subscribers, so if you fancy eating these cookies (and supporting my work in the process), then subscribing would be much appreciated.
Have fabulous weekends in the sunshine!

Malted Milk Chocolate Cookies
My husband is a cookie enthusiast, and has ploughed his way through lots of the cookie recipes found in the cookbooks on our shelf. This rigorous research has found that Ravneet Gill makes the best cookie recipes of all, with perfect great structure and chew. The cookies I make at home are all based on her method, so credit where credit is due.
These taste like Malteasers in biscuit form, which is such a treat. As there are only two of us in the house, I always freeze half of my cookie dough in balls, ready to bake off from frozen whenever I need one at short notice (this happens more often than you might think). You’ll just need to bake them for a minute or two longer.
